Story Time

Please refresh this page – updates aren’t always automatic.

Fall Story Time has ended.

Registration for Winter 2026 Story Time will begin on Monday, December 8th at 10am – You may register using the link below the schedule OR in person at the library.  Winter Story Time will run from January 5th through March 13th.

There is NO story time on Friday, February 6th.

ATTENTION:  In order to better serve a larger portion of our population, CHANGES are coming to our evening children’s programming!  We are still working out the details, but keep a look out for drop-in story times, LEGO club, and more!  Details coming soon!

GENTLE REMINDERS

For many children, story time may be their first educational or social experience.  Here are some guidelines to help make it a positive experience for everyone!

Health and wellness:  We all get sick, it’s inevitable!  If your child is sick, please stay home and re-join us when he/she is feeling better.  A good rule of thumb is to wait 24 hours following fever, vomiting, and diarrhea.  Uncontrolled coughing and runny nose (not due to allergies) are other reasons to hold off on coming to class.

Food and drink:  Baby bottles/nursing and water are ok to bring to class, but NO snacks will be allowed (including coffee drinks).  In addition to being a distraction, many children have food allergies.

Talking during class:  Please do not engage in adult conversations during class.  It is important that all children are able to hear, observe, and participate in our songs and stories.  Adults are always welcome to come to the library a little earlier, and/or stay a little later, so they can catch-up with other adults.

THANK YOU for helping to make story time a positive part of your child’s day!

Be sure to select the proper age group when registering.  If you find you are no longer able to attend, please notify us so that we may open your spot up to another child, as space is limited.
Tot Time Birth through 36 months, (guardian must remain in the story time room at all times).  This program includes songs, rhymes, finger plays, reading one or two short books, musical instruments, and an activity (coloring/blocks/books).

Preschool Story Time Ages: 3-6 years (NOT attending kindergarten, guardian must remain on the 2nd floor of the library).  This is your more “traditional” story time.  Join us for a few longer picture books, a craft and a game (if time allows)!
