To Our Open Borrowing Patrons
As of January 1, 2015, BCCLS will no longer participate in the Open Borrowing program.
What does this mean for you?
If you have a library card from a PALS Plus library, you will no longer have borrowing privileges at BCCLS libraries through the Open Borrowing program.
You will continue to be able to borrow from the other Open Borrowing partner libraries:
- PALS Plus, the consortium of Passaic County libraries
- MAIN, the consortium of Morris County libraries
- LMxAC, the consortium of Middlesex County libraries
- Sussex County Library
- Warren County Library
- Sparta Public Library
- Hackettstown Public Library
If you work in a BCCLS town you MAY be eligible for a courtesy card; check with the library there directly for details.
If you are a BCCLS cardholder, you will no longer have borrowing privileges at PALS Plus libraries or any other Open Borrowing partner library through the Open Borrowing program. If you work in a Pals Plus or other Open Borrowing partner town, you MAY be eligible for a courtesy card; check with the library directly for details.
Finally, if you live in Essex County, check with your local library about the ReBL reciprocal borrowing program.
We thank BCCLS for the many years of generous Open Borrowing with PALS Plus and the other partners.
We regret the inconvenience this will have on our patrons.
