GENTLE REMINDERS – PLEASE READ
For many children, story time may be their first educational or social experience. Here are some guidelines to help make it a positive experience for everyone!
Health and wellness: We all get sick, it’s inevitable! If your child is sick, please stay home and re-join us when he/she is feeling better. A good rule of thumb is to wait 24 hours following fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Uncontrolled coughing and runny nose (not due to allergies) are other reasons to hold off on coming to class.
Food and drink: Baby bottles/nursing and water are ok to bring to class, but NO snacks will be allowed (including coffee drinks). In addition to being a distraction, many children have food allergies.
Talking during class: Please do not engage in adult conversations during class. It is important that all children are able to hear, observe, and participate in our songs and stories. Adults are always welcome to come to the library a little earlier, and/or stay a little later, so they can catch-up with other adults.
THANK YOU for helping to make story time a positive part of your child’s day!
