- It is acknowledged that at certain times for a variety of reasons, a patron may not have their library card with them.
- The library will accept a valid driver’s license or student ID card to charge out materials a limited number of times.
- Using this alternate method of charging materials is done as a courtesy and limited to five (5) times a year.
- When charging out materials using a driver’s license or student ID for patrons, library staff will make a notation in the patron’s record each time this method is used.
- There is no charge to the library patron for using this alternate mean of charging materials.
- This method of charging out materials is not intended to relinquish the responsibility of a library patron in holding a valid library card.
As noted previously, library cards are initially obtained free of charge.
Lost or damaged cards will need to be replaced at the rates previously indicated.
