The Pompton Lakes Public Library will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2014. But will be open on Saturday, April 19th from 10 am to 5pm.
The Pompton Lakes Public Library would like to invite you to meet with local author Marianne Fasbender Previty on Monday, October 28th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Marianne is a longtime resident of West Milford. Her first published book "The Last Box" is based on 24 years of holiday newsletters. The book will be brought to life by a group of very talented local actresses as you follow Marianne and her family through raising children, family vacations, getting older and retirement.
Join us for a night of laughter, fun and refreshments.
Books will be available for purchase at a special discounted price.

Registration for Fall Story Time programs will begin on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m., in-person and online.

Starting on Saturdy, September 7th the library will be open on Saturdays 10am to 5pm.
The Pompton Lakes Library will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013 to celebrate Labor Day.
We will re-open on Tuesday, September 3rd with regular hours.
Wil Mara, Pompton Lakes resident and bestselling author of the new novel Frame 232, will be here at the library on MONDAY, JULY 15, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a discussion of the book along with a Q & A, and copies will be available for purchase and signing.

The Summer Movie schedule has been posted.
Our first movie will be "Monsters, Inc." and will be shown on Thursday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. The film is 93 minutes long and rated G.
Registration for the 2013 Summer Reading Club "Dig Into Reading" and Story Time programs has begun.
The programs will run eight weeks and begin the week of July 1st.
The Pompton Lakes Library will be closed on Saturdays during June, July and August

The Board meeting of the Pompton Lakes Library Board of Trustees scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2013 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room
The /Home Improvement Reference Center/ includes magazine articles and reference content, as well as videos and images designed to help homeowners tackle home repairs safely. It provides the latest step-by-step information along with background information and basic tips on topics including electrical, plumbing, woodworking, outdoor projects, maintenance and decorating.

Patrons can access /Home Improvement Reference Center/ through June 30, 2013, by logging into EBSCO Host through this website. It is also available by visiting www.jerseyclicks.org

In the wake of one of our state’s worst natural disasters, long-time library community partner EBSCO Publishing has generously donated the /Home Improvement Reference Center/™   to libraries in the New Jersey Library Network to aid residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. /Home Improvement Reference Center/™  is a resource which provides detailed, user-friendly, how-to information about home improvements and repairs. This valuable information will be available to library patrons as they rebuild to ensure those making their own repairs or faced with clean up or do-it-yourself renovations have the know-how to handle these tasks.

The Pompton Lakes Library will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2012.
On Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 the library will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.
THe library will be on on Saturday, November 24 during the regular hours of 10 am to 5 pm.
The Board of Trustee meeting scheduled for Monday, November 12, has been rescheduled to Monday, November 19, 2012.
Power to the Pompton Lakes Library has been restored and we are now fully functioning.
The Pompton Lakes Public Library will be closed on Saturday, October 27, 2012 for a staff event.
Any materials due dates for Saturday, will be extended to Monday, October 29th.

Library patrons are now able to place holds for "on order" materials that are being acquired by the library!
Holds can be placed on Pompton Lakes Library materials, marked "Being acquired by library" the same way as other holds.
